Three men were killed and two other men and a woman injured when the auto crashed into a bridge at Louisville Ohio. Coroner J C McQuate blamed excessive speed as the six passengers plunged into a ravine. Jorg Garcia, Will Matthis, and Aldrich Lee were identified among the deceased.
Five people were injured in weekend automobile accidents in the area. Mrs. Homer Unkefer, 37, is hospitalized with a fractured right shoulder after a crash involving her husband’s car and another vehicle. A Cleveland man, Ziady, arrested on suspicion. Marguerite Naylor, 7, suffered scalp contusions, and Herman Johnston, 9, may have a skull fracture after a collision involving Elmer Johnston’s car and a sedan driven by Casper Berling of West Virginia. The incidents occurred at 9th Street Shorbay NW Newtonay and Tuscarawas streets and McKinley at 24th NW.
United Press reports more than 50 people died in Ohio over the weekend, the heaviest toll in years. Among the victims were an Akron couple and their 5-year-old son killed when their car collided with a truck near Wellington. victims named Clair Klinger 36, Mrs Singer 32, and Howard.

State penitentiary guards and city county officials joined in an intensive search for Charles Agee 32 and Henry Jones 24 convicts who escaped from the state stone quarry camp after scaling the foot fence around the camp. Agee and Jones were serving prison terms for robbery.

Newark June 16 The Republican senatorial contest in New Jersey narrows as four candidates vie for the nomination Ambassador Dwigar W Morrow former Senator Joseph Frelinghuysen Rep Franklin W Fort and John A Kelly seek votes. Morrow backs repeal of the 18th amendment and state control with federal wet dry protection while Frelinghuysen banners for wet stands putting Fort as a dry ally.
Minnesota voters flocked to polls as the Republican senatorial nomination contest between Thomas D. Schall and Governor Theodore Christianson opened. Early reports predicted a light primary turnout. The race centers on a blind senator and the state’s chief executive amid statewide interest.

Boston June 16 testimony from Commander Stanley V. Parker of the coast guard details that many lives might have been saved if his craft had been summoned by an F O and was presented at the inquiry into the Fairfax Firis disaster. Forty seven people died when the Fairfax rammed the oil tanker Pinthis in fog off Scituate last Tuesday night.
