Mary Janos, 45, a Hungarian resident of Alliance, hanged herself at her home Monday night. The body was found Tuesday morning by her husband. Coroner Douds said she was mentally deranged by despondency and she had relatives in Hungary. Burial will be in Alliance on Wednesday.
Harold Sidmore was sentenced to 60 days in the work house by Judge Quinn after being charged with impersonating an officer and pointing a firearm. He was arrested Monday at Macleay NE and the Baltimore and Ohio railroad by Officer Ritchey. two boys testified Sidmore pointed the gun at them after taking it from a third boy.
