Russell G. Everhart 42 of 292 Belleflower Ave NW died in his Stark jail cell just after 5 AM while awaiting trial on an embezzlement charge. Cellmate Lilley reported he gasped for breath. coroner cited organic heart trouble. Everhart, a former Edward L Doherty Co. stock salesman from Massillon, fled with a one-year-old girl, was tracked across the Midwest, Mexico, and back to St. Louis before capture. Funeral services private Wednesday at 3:30 PM. burial Westlawn Cemetery.
