Frank H. Golding general manager resigns from Holmes Automobile Co. He will move his family east by July 1 and may settle in New York or Philadelphia where he has business connections. No successor named. Golding came to Canton years ago as manager of Ohio Power Co. and became a prominent local business man. He was former Canton Rotary president and longtime active member.
Seventeen members of McKinley High School graduate class kept averages at 90 percent or higher over four years. Elizabeth Franz led with 96 percent earning the W. H. Clark gold medal, while Jeannette Fager and Dora Kramer also received top honors.
Governor Davis approved most measures from the recent session, vetoing two and allowing four to become law without signature. Mary Schuster and her husband Andy filed separate suits against the Pennsylvania Railroad over an April 19 accident at the Union crossing in Alliance. Amos Edgerley, 50, of Columpius, was killed after a bull attack at his farm near Pataskala. He was gored twice in the abdomen, with a crushed left jaw and fractured left ribs.
