Grand Jury Completes Record Breaking Session
Cecil Taylor, son of L Taylor, merchandise broker, was arrested in Greely Colorado by Deputy Sheriff Dickerhoof and indicted on assault and battery with intent to kill for a murderous attack on Daniel McKinney near New Berlin. Taylor waived extradition and heads to Canton in custody. McKinney was arrested then released. The May term grand jury returned 27 indictments in two days, with charges to be revisited in September.

Body of Dead Baby Found Near Massillon
A dead infant wrapped in newspaper with a stone tied to it was found Friday afternoon by railroad section men three miles below Massillon. Police alerted Massillon, Coroner Gavin from Canton traveled to the scene, and the body was moved to Gordon and Hollinger's morgue in Massillon.
