Man’s Body Found in River at Waynesburg
William Fisher eight two, who left home to end his life because of illness, jumped into the Big Sandy River at Waynesburg last Thursday. Neighbors found his body Thursday afternoon three quarters of a mile south of Waynesburg at the Frank Robertson farm after days of searching. Coroner T. C. McQuate was notified and is investigating.

Two Die When Ship Is Rammed In Fog
The Coast Guard cutter 113, a 475 foot patrol boat, was rammed amidships near Cape May and sank in Philadelphia harbor. Two crew members, John F. Haines of Pleasantville New Jersey and Dewitt T Hald of Washington Georgia, were trapped in the engine room and drowned. Five others were injured as the Culberson freighter 9400 tons, en route from Los Angeles to Philadelphia, searched the area. Bodies of the missing sailors had not yet been recovered.
