Guns and men flood the sector between the Marne and Isne areas as forces contest vital highways. Fierce fighting continues with heavy losses on both sides and Allies reportedly taking numerous prisoners.

League Park the home of the Cleveland Indians will close after Sunday to allow players to comply with Secretary Baker's ruling. J. C. Dunn, owner of the Indians, telegram noted the decision following a double header with Philadelphia.
The board of trustees accepted the resignation of 21 physicians at Aultman hospital and decided to keep Miss Alice Hemmingway as head. Plans to replace the staff are undeveloped, with one physician in general charge being considered.
William Weidman aged 5 died of a crushed chest after slipping between a moving wagon and another vehicle at the Hostler barn Friday afternoon. He was taken to Mercy hospital by Whittier’s ambulance and died at 7:30 p m. Survived by parents Phillip and Mrs Weidman two brothers and one sister. Funeral at St John's church Sunday 2 pm. Burial West Lawn Cemetery.

Paris dispatch reports Franco American troops advancing along the Marne front near Soissons and Chateau-Thierry. They threaten Soissons and Neuilly St Front while repelling counterattacks and pushing toward Rheims. Prisoners total over 18 thousand as forces gain ground along a 20 mile stretch.
The Allied offensive on the Aisne Marne front sees stubborn German resistance as towns change hands multiple times. American and French forces push toward the river with gains south of the Marne and near Soissons. British troops capture Meteren and Lewaton, taking 436 prisoners.
