Berlin July 19 Prince Joachin sixth and youngest son of the ex Kaiser killed himself in bed at the Villa Liegnitz San Souchi Park after a night of debauch and his wife’s desertion He died at 1 am Sunday in a nearby hospital Eitel Frederich issued a statement blaming psychological disturbance caused by events and personal difficulties The underlying cause was believed to be his wife’s desertion.
Pretty 16 year old Emma Sewell faces a forgery charge in county jail for signing her father Head-son Sewell’s name to a $100 note. She fled to Charleston West Virginia before being located by a detective and was brought back by Deputy Sheriff George Thorn. She will be remanded to the juvenile court.
Ten percent of the employes in the maintenance equipment and clerical departments of the Baltimore division of the Pennsylvania railroad will lose their jobs Wednesday. The move, posted in local shops and offices, may foreshadow a general order across the system. No reductions for engineers firemen brakemen conductors dispatchers gatemen porters or ticket handlers. Grover Kimmel twenty seven son of Mr and Mrs Joshua Kimmel of near Fast Greenville drowned Sunday afternoon while swimming in an artificial pond on the Link Young farm two miles from the Kimmel farm. He disappeared after stepping into deep water as three companions Oscar Masters Herbert Searkheart and David Jones struggled to pull him out. Jones was nearly drowned while Masters pulled Jones free as Kimmel sank for the last time. Firemen from Massillon assisted. body recovered about six o'clock after four and a half hours in the water. Funeral set for Tuesday morning at eight at the home with burial in Jewett Ohio.
Mayor Herman R. Witter has asked all department heads to submit 1921 budget estimates within two weeks. Departments expect 1921 costs to run about 20 percent higher than 1919 due to material cost increases and a blanket wage rise. Some departments have already delivered figures and Witter will compile them for council review.
Washington reports that more than 50,000 arrests were made in the first half of constitutional prohibition. Data come from enforcement agents nationwide and show many arrests by local police cooperating with Kramer. The figure implies about one in every 2000 Americans charged between January 16 and June 30.

Howard White twelve year old son of Mr and Mrs George H White of 300 Thirteenth NW is in Mercy hospital with a fractured skull and facial injuries after alighting from a Cleveland street car and being struck by a car driven by John O Gier Barberton. The accident occurred about 5 PM at Thirteenth and Cleveland NW. The boy remained unconscious until Monday. A Hudson sedan was demolished near Reedurban after being struck by an eastbound Canton New Philadelphia limited. the driver escaped injury. A touring car owned by West off of Tuscara was wrecked at Cleveland Ave but no one hurt. Traffic signals and road improvements are noted as contributing factors.
In Cleveland on July 19 Leroy McMahon 23 son of Municipal Judge Walter McMahon and Arthur Cowan one year old son of Mr and Mrs Louis Cowan were killed in separate storm accidents. McMahon was struck by an interurban car near Latain after stopping to adjust his auto curtains at a death curve. The Cowan infant died when the car carrying the Cowan family and friends overturned in the city.
Burglars entered the 431 Revay SE apartments of J. R. Miller and John Zabosky while residents were away and stole cash totaling 175 dollars. Miller said 40 dollars was missing, Zabosky 136 dollars plus a bank book with deposits totaling 106 dollars.
Washington report says five hundred aliens, mostly Russians, await deportation when transport becomes available. Most are free on bail. Deportation warrants were prepared by the justice department last winter, totaling 6,000 with 3,000 served.

Senator Harding charged the Wilson league covenant shaped U.S. foreign policy and pressed Governor Cox with a series of questions about league acceptance and treaty ratification. He urged Cox to answer promptly to show whether he agrees with President Wilson and Roosevelt on the league.
A girl testifies she fled two men W H Leslie and Charles Lair after they allegedly attempted to assault her during an automobile ride Friday night. Eight men died when gas exploded at Union Collieries Co mine in Renton near Pittsburgh. Believed caused by a spark from an electric switch igniting gas. All victims were foreigners. A fraternal meeting is scheduled for July 20 at 1 20 PM to attend the funeral of Frank Atkinson. Services at 1133 13th NW.

Columbus July 19 The Anti-Saloon League will decide at an executive committee meeting in Washington next Thursday whether to oppose Democrat Cox as a presidential nominee. The meeting venue was changed from Columbus to Washington. Democratic pressure urged the league to forestall any move against Cox as Senator Sheppard campaigns for the governor.
Columbus dispatch reports Governor Cox, Democratic presidential hopeful, is satisfied with his White House conference with President Wilson. He travels to meet the Democratic National Committee as they discuss the forthcoming campaign. Committee men from across the country gather, with Homer Cummings and Ed H. Moore prominent as potential national chairman choices.
In Coshocton on July 19 police probed the deaths of Charles Zellara 40 and Minnie Dawson 44 found in the woman’s home. A revolver in Dawson’s hand spurred theories of murder and possible suicide, with neighbors spotting the silent scene in the living room.
The body of a girl, apparently beaten to death, was found in a courtyard between Rutters and Monroe streets. She had been dead about three hours and no identification was found. Police think she was killed elsewhere and moved to the site.

Byron Madison Pettibone a 32 year old undertaker's assistant known as the Behu Brummell of Bennington goes on trial in Bennington superior court for the alleged murder by poisoning of his wife Eva Bond Pettibone 17 years his senior. The state accuses Pettibone of using salt in a drink and then caressing her as she died claiming he sought to pursue nurse Miss Helen Guillow of Sodom New York. Pettibone denies the confession was forced by third degree methods and faces the charge as the jury is drawn.
Leo Grich of Canton was bound over on a first degree murder charge for the stabbing death of John Subsick but released on $2,500 bond after the court reduced the charge to second degree murder following a Monday hearing.
