Stills Found on Four Farms Led to Guilty Pleas
On four farms north of McDonaldsville deputies and a police officer found mash whiskey and several stills. At Eric Nagey’s farm they uncovered three stills with 42 gallons capacity, plus two gallons of raisin jack and 150 pounds of mash in a bin. Taszla Rokszings farm yielded a ten gallon still, half a gallon raisin jack, and copper coils. Frank Halasz and Joe Miklos’s barn had a twelve gallon still, sixty five gallons of raisin jack, and twenty gallons of mash. Steve Segorka’s farm produced forty gallons of whiskey, seventy five gallons of mash, and a twelve gallon still. The officers, Teardon Dailey Thorne and Vogley, said the stills were well made. All four suspects pleaded guilty and were fined 300 dollars and costs each.
