Canton health officers and two policemen began a sanitary inspection of stables Tuesday in a push to prevent infantile paralysis. Unsanitary stables will face 48 hour cleanup notices while 12 milk samples will be tested tonight to assess city supply safety. No cases had been reported by noon Tuesday.
Fred Hirschi aged 50 collapsed and died of apoplexy while unloading coffins at the Pennsylvania Railroad freight station in Alliance on Monday night. Coroner Douds viewed the body the next day.

Middleport Ohio July 11 A Bostic restaurant keeper who had moved from Huntington West Virginia shot and fatally wounded his wife then his daughter aged twenty when she returned fire and shot her father who is expected to recover. The daughter is a college graduate and there are three daughters in the family.
In Cleveland Ohio on July 11 bricklayer Robert Cockran thirty was shot while asleep at the home of Helen Illingsworth twenty nine who admits firing the shot but will not talk further Cockran is in a hospital expected to die Illingsworth says she acted because she feared being betrayed and intended suicide but the revolver had two cartridges with one fired accidentally in the bathroom.
The Canton Clerks association voted to unite with the International Protective Clerks and to expand to include male clerks citywide. Ek E Baker of New Philadelphia, head of the international group, attended and plans to stay to aid growth, aiming for about 200 members by August. Ed Carey of Lowenstein-Herbruck Co. remains president.
County commissioners with contractor E. J. Landor visited the Alliance Lex ing Control bridge Tuesday to inspect needed repairs. They were told the structure is too weak for hauling materials for road work.

Akron Ohio July 11 While walking in his sleep Harry Huslit forty four stepped through an open window of a local hotel and fell to the sidewalk He was picked up unconscious and rushed to a hospital where he died an hour later from internal injuries.

Central engine house crew were summoned to 1846th St SW Tuesday noon after Mrs. J. W. Herron found a treacherous spring lock blocked her return to home. Firemen using a big ladder truck and entering through the transom opened the door and freed her.
