Speeding auto strikes woman leaving church injured
Mrs. Mary J. Carl aged 62 of 1213 Fifth Ave NE was struck by a speeding auto carrying five Alliance youths as she crossed from First Brethren church in Louisville after attending a funeral. She sustained serious injuries including broken arm and leg, heavy bruising, and shock, remaining unconscious. Doctors at Mercy hospital doubt she will recover. a motorist involvement and ongoing care followed.
