South end residents petition the township trustees to condemn the existing sewage disposal plant as a health nuisance. Officials may order bond sales after considering condemnation actions. The petition, led by Shock, claims the plant is at capacity and emits odors affecting the community.
Stark county sold 190000 of emergency bonds at par with a 5 percent rate and 285 premium to Weil Roth of Cincinnati. Otis and Co of Cleveland were the other bidders with a 27 premium. Funds will repair bridges and culverts washed out by March floods.
