City council approves salary increases for 12 city employees
City officials set boosted pay for clerk of municipal court and deputies, city treasurer staff, traffic commissioner and council leaders. The ordinance, debated for months, raises include 2300 for the court clerk, 130 each for two deputy clerks, 900 for the council president, 800 for the vice president, 2000 for the traffic commissioner, and several other increments for auditors and clerks. The first new payrolls go out this week pending legal review.
