Louis H. Koch forty eight longtime Canton druggist died Wednesday evening at his home 1280 Cleveland Ave NW after a lingering illness. Born in Poland near Youngstown he studied at Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and later settled in Canton opening shops first in the Eagle block and then at 128 Tuscarawas St NW where the store remained. He belonged to the Masonic lodge Knights Templar and Knights of Pythias and married Bertie Hammond. Surviving are four children, three brothers, and a sister. Funeral at his home Friday at 2 p.m. Burial in Westlawn Cemetery.

The scorer noted nine at two o'clock as the mayor’s best score, while the crowd watched the powder fumes and recoil in a tense display. In Bristol at the trades union conference, a landslide vote of 1,677,000 favored opposing compulsory military service in Great Britain. Against conscription totaled 1,796,000 and for 219,000, with cheers lasting five minutes after the result. The conference also pledged support to the war’s prosecution.
Secretary Lansing called the Mexican border incursion a hostile act as three officers Mort Peyton and Waldron face immediate court martial. The United States may inform Carranza that the cross border action will not be condoned and leaders will be punished.
Two U S soldiers from battery D fourth field artillery went missing after crossing the Rio Grande into Mexico near Brownsville Texas. Authorities fear they were killed or held by captors seeking revenge for regional executions. The Canton Park and Playground association prep for 1916 asks for 1500 from the council and 1000 from the school board.
