Rent Building for Victims of White Plague In City
The board of health and township trustees with Mayor Stolberg agreed to rent a building on the city outskirts to serve as a temporary detention hospital. Six foreigners were found sleeping two per bed in the southeast, and three tuberculosis cases needed care. John H. Murray, 35, jailed on a charge of shooting with intent to kill W. F. Grimm, conductor on the N. O. T. lines. The incident occurred after Grimm tried to escort Murray home. Murray, intoxicated, drew a revolver and Grimm was shot in the leg as he wrestled the weapon away.
