George Thomas 30 deemed temporarily insane shot and killed his four year old son Robert and wounded his two year old daughter Rose before fatally shooting himself. He gouged his wife Helen’s eyes endangering her sight and died six hours later after drinking poison. Helen, 22, likely blind, described a life of constant marital turmoil since their Lorain marriage in 1922. The baby Rose was not expected to survive. Thomas worked for B F Goodrich Rubber Co.
