Two Bank Fraud Convictions in Ohio Case
Robert Montgomery a 63 year old former national bank examiner from Wheeling West Virginia was sentenced to two years in the federal penitentiary at Atlanta by Federal Judge Hough. He and John A Green 45 were accused of defrauding the First National Bank at Powhatan Point of 19000. Green received four months in the Licking county jail and broke down in court. Green gave valuable evidence aiding Montgomery's conviction and Montgomery was not spared due to age. Green surrendered 12000 to help cover the loss.
