William Webber forty four owner of an Alliance cafe was killed when his car collided with an eastbound Michigan Central train at a Leoni Michigan crossing seven miles east of Jackson. Also killed were Adam Laipply Gustav Rost Bert Cottle and driver Henry Reiser injured others and valuables found. Weather snow blinded the driver and the auto was dragged over a hundred feet before the train stopped. The victims had been in Jackson on a business trip with Webber returning from Bellaire.
