Watertown Massachusetts January 14 authorities ruled the fire death of Mrs Babe Ruth as accidental though her brother Thomas P Woodford suspects foul play. The statement came after police findings in the case tied to Dr Edward H Kinder.
Stark county will invest 3 011 000 dollars as part of a statewide 150 million program over six years to build new roads reconstruct highways widen routes and erect bridges. In Stark county 12 existing highways will be affected with 14.5 miles of new construction 21.9 miles of reconstruction 39.1 miles widened and several new bridges. The plan covers District No 11 including Belmont Carroll Guernsey Tuscarawas Harrison Jefferson Noble and three segments of U S Route 21.

Six doctors attend and the life of the marshal is in danger. His wife and two daughters stay by his bedside as strict orders bar visitors to the home near the Hotel des Invalides.
Columbus January 14 Myryers Y. Cooper was inaugurated governor after four terms of Democratic rule. He pledged to honor responsibilities of the office as tears and pride marked the moment. Mrs. Cooper became first lady as the new chief executive began his term.
Jacob Berman who testified he paid Asa Keyes forty thousand nine hundred dollars to gain acquittal in the Julian Petroleum cases will be cross examined today as the bribery trial of former district attorney Asa Keyes and five others resumes. The defense seeks to challenge Berman’s account while Ben Getzoff says the entire sum went to Keyes. After cross examination the state will call Berman’s brother Louis for corroboration.
In New York on January 14 a note recalls a delegation to Canada asking to prohibit liquor exports. Canada replies that if it is illegal to import but not to export, they cannot stop cross-border flow. The letter suggests seeking League of Nations support to handle the issue.

Gus Winkler known as the ghost of North Royalton is in county jail facing arson charges. The 54 year old hermit admitted setting fire to a farm house and a barn to generate attention after conflicts with his landlord E F Willard and a neighbor. He said he fled the scene after starting the blaze.
Assistant Treasury Secretary Bond explained refunds arise mainly from court decisions and the need for immediate payment under tax law. He noted last year refunds totaled 142 million dollars across 168 thousand refunds, and current-year appropriations total 130 million with a request for 75 million more.

Eddie Kaltenbaugh was served with two indictments charging the murder of John and Bertha Oser at their farm southwest of Cana Fulton. He confessed to the shootings and will be arraigned after police and court procedures, with arraignment possible Wednesday afternoon.
