Attorney General Daugherty declares he has no plans to resign despite circulating whispers of an early Florida migration. He says he will take Mrs. Daugherty south for the winter and expects to return soon, calling rumors of quitting wind jammed and unfounded. The chatter tied to Florida and Oklahoma judicial appointments has stirred political nerves in Congress and Ohio leaders.
Edward H. Dolge, a wealthy Mt. Vernon real estate operator, died from a bullet fired by bandits after resisting them during a late night robbery at Hunt's Point station. Dolge refused to surrender a valuable diamond. four shots were fired, one taking effect, and the bandits fled.
Mary Leonard, 73, died at 407 North Weatherst Street on Friday night from pneumonia. Survived by eight children including Joseph, George, and John of Akron, two daughters in Butler and Canton, a sister in Akron, eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral arrangements pending.

In Ormond Beach Florida on January 5 Ashton Harvey a wealthy New Yorker and close personal friend of John D Rockefeller collapsed and died while playing golf at the oil magnate's winter estate. Witnesses report Harvey fell at the first tee after raising his hands and dropping to the ground.
Washington Jan 5 The American government will submit all facts about the seizure of the British steamer Tomoka with a liquor cargo off New York to the state department. The department seeks information for replying to Britain’s request to release Tomoka crew from bail. New York customs officials ordered to provide a full capture report to the treasury.
Four men dynamited the San Marcos State Bank and Trust Co. vaults in San Marcos Texas early today and escaped with at least 10,000 dollars in cash. The town telephone wire was cut as a posse hunts the bandits.
Henry Smith of Madison Avenue SE was convicted in criminal court Saturday morning for disturbing the peace after a quarrel over a board bill. The court ordered him to pay the bill and depart the city.

Rabbi Charles B Latz of the Canton Hebrew Congregation receives word his mother Mrs Samuel Latz died suddenly Friday in Kansas City Missouri. He had just returned from the McKinley Ave Temple where he spoke on racial and religious differences. Surviving are a daughter Mrs Dousman of Kansas City and husband Samuel Latz.
Alliance officials report over $100,000 in taxes collected in the past days as T A Bowman deputy tax collector and assistants operate a temporary office at the city hall to spare residents a trip to Canton. A majority of citizens have used the service this week.
King George sent a telegram to Howard Carter at Luxor asking him not to remove the mummy from its sarcophagus but to restore it after an X ray. In Dayton Ohio on January 5 Richard Fram suffered broken legs and a fractured skull when his sled and G A Funkhouser’s auto collided at the base of a hill. Funkhouser attempted to brake and veered, the lever or hood torn off. Nick Santerillo, age 15, also injured with a broken nose after his bobsled struck another on the same hill.
At 8 o clock this morning the river crested at 36 feet 4 inches and by g o'clock had fallen four inches. Ice formed over the flooded island area while street car traffic to Berwood and Bellaire was cut off.
