Joseph Haidet seventy four a Stark county resident died in Akron from heart trouble while visiting his daughters. He lived on a North Industry farm and formerly resided in Canton. He is survived by five children Louis Frank Joseph all of Canton and Celestine and Ellen Haines of Akron. The body goes to Canton Tuesday for services and burial at St. John’s cemetery after a St Mary's church service Wednesday at 8:20 a.m.

1600 Ton Plate Mill to Be Shipped to Canton Plant
A 1600 ton universal plate mill, largest of its kind in the country, will be shipped from Pittsburgh to the United Steel Co in Canton to replace the old mill in use for 10 years. The six week installation will shut down the plate and furnace department. The mill, designed by late president Follwell of the McIntosh-Hempil Co, rolls plates from eight to 48 inches wide in a four sided single operation. No increase in labor is expected.
