Prince Karageorgeviteh Escapes Serbia for Rome on Horseback
Prince Alexis Karageorgeviteh cousin of King Peter of Serbia and his wife Mrs Huger Pratt of New York fled Serbia during the Austro German invasion. They traveled mostly on horseback escaping across the country with about forty horses available. The prince, an exile in Paris, was later allowed to return to aid in defense after Belgrade fell.
