Canton Sheet Steel to Double Output With New Mill and Office

Canton Sheet Steel Co plans about 1.65 million dollars in enlargement including a new mill and furnace, three 90 ton furnaces and an 18 inch bar mill. A new three story brick office building will cost 500 thousand dollars and include an auditorium and restaurant for employees. Work to be completed within a short time with the plant operating at higher capacity during reconstruction.

Stolberg Wounded in Leg After Armistice in France

Charles A. Stolberg of Canton was accidentally wounded in the leg five days after the armistice. A letter from Stolberg, written from a general hospital in France, describes the accident occurred when a pistol discharged while a military man examined a captured revolver at a doorway. He is a commander in the 121 Ammunition Train, a unit of Ohio troops, and was expected to be out of the hospital within five days.

French Heroes Enter Canton after Victory Over Huns

About sixty French heroes entered Canton Thursday evening to a rousing reception. The band veterans, many wounded, carried Croix de Guerre and Legion of Honor while motor corps drivers ferried them to the city center.
