Columbus reports that Ohio Onto pyptic Utilities commission rules on Buckeye Special Transit Co irregular operations across the state do not severely hamper the company. The order says the term point refers to any location within a municipality, allowing start and end points between Columbus and Dayton or other routes if not on existing company lines.To avoid wrongful competition the Buckeye company must steer clear of points of origin or termination used by current operators.

Death Takes Frank Munsey Pioneer Publisher Dies at 71
The obituary recalls Frank Munsey born August 1854 in Mercer Maine who built a publishing empire from humble beginnings. He moved from a country store to telegraph work before entering journalism and launching a venturesome career in New York with scant capital and bold financial bets. His sister Mrs John J Hyde of St Petersburg Florida declined to be notified due to age and ill health.

Munsey’s rise to media titan and 1920 acquisitions
Forty years after starting in publishing, Frank Munsey had become a leading publisher owning papers in New York, Washington, Boston, Philadelphia and Baltimore. In February 1920 he merged the New York Herald with the New York Sun, creating a dominant national paper, while expanding through magazines and other ventures. He remained unmarried, nesting in New York hotels and owning an estate in Elizabeth New Jersey as he pursued further acquisitions begun in early 1924.
