A crowded suburban train on the Chicago & Eastern Illinois lines collided with a Pennsylvania lines express train in Chicago. Initial reports gave no injuries. The No. 9 Pennsylvania train from Pittsburgh ran two and a half hours late. The crash derailed two express coaches and four suburban coaches plus the engine left the tracks at the crossing.
December 6 report says the police tally of bandits killed since John Stege became deputy commissioner reached twelve. Detective Simon Kennedy killed Thomas Stevens, 30, when the bandit returned to his former landlord`s home seeking revenge for tipping off police. Stevens was one of three men who held up a hotel manager and auditor Tuesday, escaping with 4900 dollars.
The Canton post office will move to the site of the current building at 3d St in Cleveland. Negotiations will begin to acquire the health department building and the H R Jones property north of the post office for a new federal building with frontage of 154 feet and depth of 200 feet. City officials set a purchase price of 65 000 dollars for the health building and 60 000 dollars for the Jones property. Work on the new building may start during the coming period.

Detectives seek a girl who allegedly handed a revolver to Sidney Weiss as he passed into general sessions court for sentencing to life. Weiss was shot by court attendant John Doyle in a corridor, dropping the weapon intended to strike Judge George L. Donnellan. Attendant Leo Karlistrand and Al Williams were wounded in the ensuing scuffle.
