Summer reform boosts Stark county docket to 971 cases
The Stark county Common Pleas docket shrank by 141 cases in six months after Judges Ake and Day created a summer court. The September term opens September 15 with 971 cases. January term began with 1112. Equity work improved, despite attorney vacations and fewer juries. Three judges open the term: Ake Day and Fimple with two juries, Abe handling equity then criminal terms.
