Tests at the city water works plant by engineer McDowell indicate iron can be removed from the water using aeration and sedimentation. He plans further tests on water softening, with Prof. Albert Ganz due early next week to investigate possible mains electrical issues.
United Press reports Huerta softened his stance on the American mediation plan. Lind says Huerta withdrew the demand for an ambassador exchange and asked to keep current embassies until after Mexico’s October presidential election, while remaining in Mexico indefinitely. Joseph H. Krabill forty one a wealthy farmer living near Louisville was killed when his team of horses bolted after a dog.
