Senate leaders Brookhart Capper Nye back his farm relief push as farmers press for first consideration of the plan. Chicago investigators opened a probe into the shooting of Merle Adams during a raid on a suspected liquor syndicate in a loop skyscraper. He allegedly struck an officer as the eighth floor office was entered and fled, prompting Agent Arthur Franklin to fire.
President and Mrs Coolidge will tour Apostle Islands with stops at Bayfield and Bevil Island aboard yachts from Cedar Island Lodge. The trip recalls 200 years of fur trade linked to John Jacob Astor and Jesuit missions led by Father Marquette, with returns planned by 7.
