Canton police Saturday were asked to watch for three alleged Cleveland murderers riding in a 1922 touring car bearing a Michigan license. The three gunmen shot Louis Radowitz, 21, of 2891 Alpineau, Cleveland, last Thursday night as he returned from a wedding. Radowitz was ordered to pursue the car, drew his weapon, and was killed instantly as the three men opened fire.

Guardsman Sentenced For Absent Camp Duty At Camp Knox
Harry Dillon of head quarters battery 135th Field Artillery received a 10 day workhouse sentence for absenting himself from the recent Camp Knox annual camp in Kentucky. He must also pay a $5 fine and costs. The sentence was handed down by Homer H. Welsh, first lieutenant of Co. C, 145th Infantry, as summary court officer. Also taken to the workhouse were Joe Vogel, Thomas Marko, and John Dulinske for liquor violations, and George Thomas, Charles Goodyear, and Willis Hudnell who pled guilty to minor thefts.

In Cleveland on August 19 Earl Sandals donated his blood in a desperate transfusion to save his seventeen year old wife Martha who had shot herself in the abdomen after leaving him two months earlier. The operation occurred at a local hospital and the wife, mother of their eight month old, may live as a result.
