Reports from Juarez say Carranza ordered an assault on Torreon after Villa proposed an armistice. Carranza forces about 18,000 attack Villa defenses of 28,000. Villa heads south, claiming reserves strong enough to hold. Ammunition shipments to Torreon continued since Villa arrived at the border.

Police investigated two robberies reported Saturday involving highwaymen. Edward Milorat said three men held him at gunpoint on Mahoning at 10 oclock and fled with $12. In the other incident a thief loaded a washing machine and motor into a curbside car outside H W Leinendeckers store on Cleveland at NW. Chief Riblet questioned Milorats tale and doubted further robberies or car losses.
