Amnesia Victim May Be Naval Officer Carter Found in New York

A man resembling Lieut. Commander Fidelio Sharpe Carter U S N retired, missing since February, was identified by Union club staff and Bellevue hospital as Carter. He was moved to the naval hospital in Brooklyn for treatment. Carter, a Kentucky native, had a long club affiliation and a diamond ring once worn.

60 year old man plans 15000 mile walk start in Asbury Park

Bandits Free Yankee Captive in Mexican Kidnapping

Robert Edward Pirte, an American, was kidnapped by Mexican bandits at his ranch near Vincente Guerrero, la Michilia. He was freed the same night after paying a ransom of 200 pesos, about $140, according to the U.S. State Department via Edward Hall of Durango.

Police Nab 33 More Auto Violators on Weekend Sweep

Four drivers were arrested Saturday with two charged for speeding and two for operating automobiles with only one license. Patrolman Burt Minesinger said 49 drivers were landed in the sweep, underscoring city effort to enforce traffic laws.

Tooth in Lung Fatal for Canadian Girl Edith Krasner

Edith Krasner a 19 year old Canadian girl died in Philadelphia after a tooth extracted in Montreal lodged in her lung and could not be removed in time due to immigration delays.
