Meat price cuts widen across major cities

The cutting has extended to beef with big drops in quotations for Boston New York Philadelphia and Chicago. A few price increases appear for some grades of meat. The figures show a general downward trend with increases being exceptional. There were 182 comparisons for meats.

Five Cent Fare Proposed to City Limits in Canton

W. T. Kirk introduces a resolution to extend franchise fare provisions to the newly fixed city limits. The plan aims to force the N O T to charge five cents inside Canton while some lines still show ten cents. The council unanimously adopted the measure and sent it to City Solicitor Fisher for investigation. Stark Electric is excluded due to no internal fare clause. Three Die In Auto Collision On Louisville Road

Three men were killed when Roy Wilson 35 his father Andrew 65 and Clifford Hindson 13 riding in a car were struck by a Stark Electric eastbound streetcar at Stop 12 on the Louisville road. The car and occupants were hurled fifty feet. Wilson's skull and his father's neck were fractured while Clifford also suffered a broken neck. The victims died en route to Mercy hospital. The Wilsons had come from Peoria Illinois to visit Canton. The body will be sent to Peoria for burial.
