Whitacre Carried Stark County In Governor Nomination Bid

In Tuesday’s primary results Congressman Whitacre carried Stark County decisively for the Democratic nomination for governor while Cox won the state by a two to one margin. Ed J. Meyer led Democrats for Congress with Stark County votes rivaling his opponents Warnes and Evans. Willis led Republicans for governor and Harding support grew against Foraker in the Senate race. Whitacre asserted satisfaction with the outcome and noted at least 25 counties carried for him per his campaign manager E A Crawford.

Harding Wins Governor Nomination Prospects Growth

United Press report from Columbus details early county returns in the Republican U S Senate race showing Harding gaining against Foraker despite Foraker leading in Hamilton County and Foraker net losing ground as smaller counties skew results. International Harvester ordered dissolved into three units

The International Harvester Co was ruled a trust in restraint of trade and must split into at least three distinct parts within ninety days. The majority of the U S circuit court issued the decision in St Paul with Judge Walter H Sanborn dissenting. The opinion was prepared by Judge Walter Smith and joined by Judge Walter C Hook.

Sugar climbs to nine cents a pound in some stores after wholesale price hits seven cents in New York City.
