In Marion crowds mourned President Harding as guards from Fort Hayes kept silent vigil before his entombed body at the cemetery. Local officials indicated no memorial plan, while Mrs. Harding's wishes would guide any monument. Father Dr. George T. Harding Sr. showed renewed strength after rest.
