Faulk, 24, a clerk at McFadden Co. in Kent, was beaten into unconsciousness by two burglars on the third floor of the store. A burly negro assaulted him from behind. a blow felled him after a struggle. He was carried to Ingleside hospital, then to Blanchard ambulance for treatment. Farmer Killed by Train Near His Home
George Hazel, 68, a Middlebranch farmer, was struck and killed by a Wheeling and Lake Erie passenger train at about 6 PM Sunday while walking on tracks near his home. Coroner says he suffered a broken neck and crushed chest, hurled 50 feet over an embankment, and was deaf, missing the train’s approach. Body taken to Canton. He leaves a wife and two sons. Funeral arrangements not yet made.
