Canton approves revised garbage collection rules to raise revenue and improve service. A $1 yearly can rental starts May 1 with a 60 cent to 76 cent monthly collection fee and a 25 cent rebate for prepayment. delinquent accounts to be denied service.
A full house attended Kenneth E. Runkel's pipe organ recital at Trinity Lutheran church Sunday. The rebuild and chimes, completed last August, showcased the instrument's power and beauty. praise also went to William E. Strassner for his Mendelssohn interpretation. Runkel plans a return trip through Canton possibly in July.

Mrs Mary Bast aged 79 wife of Matthew Bast died suddenly Sunday morning at her home in Meyers Lake. She was mother to Charles Bast former township treasurer Joan Bast William Bast Ed Bast and Mises Mayme Bast all of this city and survived by two brothers two sisters and 11 grandchildren. Funeral services set for Wednesday at 9 at St Josephs Church with burial in St Peters Cemetery.
Mrs Margaret Parker aged sixty one died at her home Meyers Lake from apoplexy Sunday evening. She is survived by husband Wilson Parker and children Charlies Haessly Struthers Daniel Haessly Poland D Fred and Raymond Haessly Canton Mrs Elbert Green South Bend Ind and Miss Louise Parker Toronto Canada. Funeral arrangements not completed.
James Kanamanki aged five son of Victor Kanamanki of Canton died Sunday at the Fairmount home. The body was brought to Witticar's funeral parlors.
Edward Holland aged forty five died Monday at Aultman Annex from a complication of diseases. The body was taken to Whitticar funeral parlors to await relatives arriving from Pittsburgh.

New York report details nine year old Helen Grayson of Paterson New Jersey as the sole witness to a double tragedy. Mrs Grayson was shot dead by Edward Larey a wealthy New York Telephone Co employee who then killed himself by drowning near Bear Mountain after arguments at Tuxedo Park. Helen remained beside her mother's body in the car for hours until found. Police have not given a full explanation.
