Col Charles A. Lindbergh, overdue since leaving Mexico City, departed Brownsville at 10 55 am for an eastward continuation of his flight. He refused to reveal his next destination.
Col Charles A. Lindbergh, unheard from for more than 18 hours, landed at Brownsville Texas airport at 9 35 am after leaving Mexico City Tuesday noon. He had been with his fiancee Anne Spencer Morrow and was not known to have a fixed destination, fueling speculation he would proceed to New York to honor Ambassador Herrick. The report notes no immediate plans and no safety concerns among friends. In Washington the case against the schooner Im Alone crew was dropped, while a separate dispute over coast guard pursuit of foreign vessels near the US coast continues.
