George Todoroff, 40, sits for trial on a first degree murder charge in Common Pleas Judge A W Agler's court for the death of Mrs Helen Tish Burkhardt 20. She died from a razor wound after she refused his marriage proposal and held an infant when he killed her. Todoroff surrendered to police and confessed. More than 60 special jurors were summoned as the trial began. Todoroff is expected to admit killing her but may plead extenuating circumstances.

Fremont reports three Ohio fishermen missing after a small craft with four aboard disappeared near Sandusky Bay during a gale. The search for Carl Craven 29 and Earl Peueht continued as pilots and coast guards scoured 250 miles of St. George Mis- Mission Wyndham coast and Baltic Sea vicinity for signs of the BERLIN and its crew.
