Delegates from Melville York and Canora report strong teams as Melville plays Canora Yorkton and Saltcoats in a June to July schedule. Matches include Yorkton at Saltcoats June 2 and Melville at Canora June 4 with gate receipts paid by each team.
The 1887 Order-in-Council reserved about 2 500 acres across multiple townships for wild fowl breeding grounds. Specific parcels include fractional sections 2 35 and 3 6 in Township 26 24 and 176 more acres in adjacent townships. The Northwest quarter of Section 20 Township 28 Range 23 was added later.
