The Canova Citizens Band will give a grand concert in the School at Sturgis on December 30th featuring music songs and comedy. After the concert a dance will be held in the hotel with free music from the band. See posters for particulars.
During the past week the Advertiser Mailing List was corrected as figures on labels show subscriptions due. In many cases subscriptions have been charged to ledger accounts of business men. If your label does not show paid indebtedness attend to the matter at once to avoid trouble and expense.
The adjourned town council meeting chaired by Mayor Korbin reviewed the water works financial statement by Geo H Power engineer. Sinnott and Graham moved to receive the statement and approve labor accounts for test pits and house services totaling various small sums. The council set adjournment for Monday the 20th at 10 a.m. Carried.
At the December 20 meeting Mayor Korbin presided with Councillors Graham Rowntree and Sinnott. Sinnott Rowntree moved to notify Engineers Chipman and Power that their Canora services end December 10, 1915, per their agreement and at Mr. Geo Power’s request. The motion carried.
Miss Matikia Braum of Preeceville returned Saturday from a month long visit with her sister Mrs H O Gronlid in Moose Jaw.
District Court sittings for the Judicial District of Yorkton are set for Yorkton on the second Tuesday of February the third Tuesday of May and September and the fourth Tuesday of November. Canora holds the third Tuesday of March the first Tuesday of June and the second Wednesday of November. All Kamsack meetings occur on the corresponding Wednesdays in March and October.
In the Keys municipality election W H Wilkinson won the reeve post, narrowly defeating rival R M Herd Law by a slim majority. The ballot appears to show a close contest with partial tallies indicating Wilkinson led in several divisions while Herd Law trailed.

A CPR freight collision near the Fort William elevator last Saturday at 11 50 PM left three harvest hands dead and several others injured. The Westbound CPR train struck the freight train opposite the elevator. Rescue crews attended the scene as investigators began work on the cause.
