Church Of Annunciation To Be Largest In The Middle East
The ambitious Church of Annunciation rises on the site of the Angel Gabriel visit and will become the Middle Easts largest church. It will have space for 6,000 worshippers and a 197 foot cupola weighing 10,000 tons. Construction began recently with reinforced foundations and thick walls to reduce iron usage. Exterior walls will be west stone. interior decoration will follow. Anticipated completion is 18 months for structure, with years more for interior art and mosaics.
