Youth jailed for multiple break ins and robberies in Canberra
An 18 year old Wat martens was jailed for three years after pleading guilty to four break in and steal charges and one burglary for thefts at Richards house in Causeway Bigg shop in Kingston Solatzes shop at Kootara Narrabundah tuck shop goods and Griffith house. Ronald Rushton 28 received 12 months for breaking into Yowani Golf Club storeroom and stealing clothes with two accomplices. Harold Nuttall 25 jailed 18 months for a May 24 false pretence to defraud by obtaining a car with a dishonoured £400 cheque. Two interstate defendants Bourke and Bourke had an attempted TV theft case withdrawn after lessons and payment. A pistol seized in a divorce case was condemned and held in custody.
