Goulburn Lilac Festival Opens Centenary Celebrations
Goulburn marks the centenary with Lilac Festival plans and church services. Queen Victoria's proclamation, royal ties, and the Lilac Festival Hall funding feature in a program that aims to draw about 10 000 visitors and raise £10 000. The festival opens with Sir Robert Menzies in Belmore Park and includes parades, canoes, and a concert at the Lilac Festival Hall.
