Migrant Holiday Plan For Students Pioneered In Australia
Immigration and education officials hailed a three month working holiday pilot scheme allowing British undergraduates to stay in Australia. Two students will remain to work. Susan Hibberdine from Wembley and Richard Knight from Hastings. Hibberdine will work for the Commonwealth Government in Sydney while Knight assists Lyell Copper Mining in Queenstown Tasmania.
