Mrs. Mary Chapman of 1506 N. Houston marked her 95th birthday on the 20th with a party attended by about thirty friends and relatives. Her son Willard Chapman of Temple and daughter Mrs. R. A. Griswold joined the festivities. daughter Mrs. Ida Smith of Corpus Christi could not attend. Born in Alabama, she moved to Milam County in childhood and has resided there since.

Youth Suffered Minor Injury In Roadway Incident
Thomas Acosta ten of Maysfield was slightly hurt when a truck driven by Charles C. Nelson of Morgan City Louisiana struck him as he crossed the road to get the mail. He was knocked into a ditch and taken to St. Edward Hospital for observation. He had no serious injuries.

Scout Fund Drive Aims At 2500 In Cameron Area
About $500 had been turned in by Wednesday for the 1962 Boy Scout fund drive led by chairman John B. Rites Held for Fred Voltin 66
Funeral services were held for Fred Voltin 66 at the Church of Visitation in Westphalia with Rev. Arthur Michalka officiating. Voltin died Sunday in a Rosebud hospital after a long illness. Burial was in St. Marys Cemetery Westphalia. He was born in 1896 at Rockdale and lived in Falls County since childhood. He worked with Voltin Brothers Gin and Farming near Rosebud and was a member of St Michaels Burlington. Surviving are three brothers and four sisters plus nieces and nephews.

Bloodmobile Visit Planned for Cameron R T

Safety Program Set For Rogers School Students
Rogers Public Schools work with Patrolman Bill Harrison of the Texas DPS to present safety assemblies for bus drivers and riders. Thorndale Airman Serves In Space Detection Unit
Airman Second Class Olin F. Biar of Thorndale serves at ENT AFB Colorado with the 1st Aerospace Control Squadron a radar specialist in the Air Force’s space detection and tracking unit. The squadron processed over 130000 observations last three months including orbits of Soviet cosmonauts. Son of Mr and Mrs Henry Biar, he graduated from Thorndale High School and entered service in July 1958.
