Dr. Goddard notes Cameron is among twelve towns for an International Health Board survey on malaria and mosquito control. County officials report road-truck shortages will ease once claims are filed. Cameron Concert Band seeks a practice space at either Eagle’s Hall or the American Legion Hall, with decisions to follow after coordination with Legion authorities and the Commercial Club.

City to mobilize against influenza in Cameron Texas

State Health Officer C W Goddard calls a mass meeting at 4 PM Friday September 26 in the Cameron district court room to organize the city and its organizations The Commercial Club Ladies Civic League Mothers Club PTA and local physicians and nurses to wage a defensive campaign against influenza with cleanup drives and health boards to prevent a repeat of last year s mortality The note urges newspapers to publish and support civic action to protect humanity and avert epidemic loss.

Mr and Mrs Cottle Return to Cameron

Mr and Mrs S A Cottle of Bryan arrived in the city Wednesday night and are staying at the Auditorium Hotel. Mr Cottle said he expects to stay but has nothing definite to announce. The news brings optimism to Cameron residents about their return to the area.

W F Paden loses Corpus Christi home on Water street as bay tides flood Cameron streets. Mrs Paden warned to evacuate, escaped to the courthouse, then found her husband who rafted from Portland with six men to reach her. They plan not to return to Corpus Christi.
