Robert Davis Returns Home Hero of Vimy Ridge
Robert Davis, famed for planting the Stars and Stripes at Vimy Ridge, has returned to live near Pendleton with his brother in law J R Blanchard. He recounts enlisting in 1914 and marching through Ypres and the Somme before the Vimy Ridge assault in April 1917. Davis was wounded 21 times and spent five months in hospital, later returning to Canada and now to Bell County to be with his mother Mrs Sarah Davis. He says war wounds limit heavy labor but remains determined to try.

Land Ownership Dispute Over Milam County Property
Plaintiff alleges ten year statute bars defendants claims and seeks removal of a deed error that misdescribed 128 acres from A B Davis to D C Robinson. Chain of title shows plaintiff owns the land intended by the deed, despite Davis or heirs possibly retaining an interest, creating a cloud on title and asking for corrective decree and other relief.
