Death of Milam County Native Oscar Patillo
Oscar Patillo, 51, a Milam County native and Cameron resident, died at 12 15 a m Monday at Newton Memorial Hospital after a heart ailment. Born November 9 1895 near Sharpe, he was survived by his widow two daughters two brothers two sisters and two grandchildren. Funeral services are set for 3 p m Tuesday at the family home with Rev Frank M Newton and Marek Burns Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Eight Central Texas districts received tentative state sums totaling 21 865 for handicapped child special education. Waco led with 3 736, Rockdale 3 685, Temple 2 216, Belton 3 300, Evant 2 548, Lampasas 3 000, Meridian 2 500, and Thorndale 2 880. Allocations are not final and may be revised as the legislature funds 350 000.

Santa Fe Train Delayed By Wreck Near Crawford
A Santa Fe freight train at Crawford derailed 16 cars causing Passenger and Mail Train No. 5 to run nine hours late into Cameron after 2 a.m. No injuries were reported and the cause was listed as minor defects. Crawford lies on the Fort Worth line north of McGregor.

Negro Dies From Saturday Star Wounds
Abraham Kearney, a black man fatally stabbed Saturday night by Levi Green, a fifteen year old, died Tuesday in Newton. Green will be charged as a delinquent child since he is under legal age for murder trial. Kearney died after surgery as pneumonia developed in hospital.
