A motorcyclist died from head injuries after colliding with a horse near Milano on SH 36. Cameron Schools Set Fall Schedule For All Campuses
Cameron Schools will start regular classes Monday under a schedule released by Superintendent Buddy Dulin and Ada Henderson Schools. Ben Milam and O. J. Thomas Junior High also follow morning hours with Yee High School extending later. Afternoon bus runs list OJT Ben Milam Ada Henderson and Yee High School at 3 35 3 40 and 3 45 respectively.

County commissioners adopt a 145 155 funding plan with 17 000 for the Milam Sheriff s Dept and 107 155 for precinct equipment The budget includes 5 000 for Sheriff Broadus equipment needs two new sheriff s cars and 3 000 for a copying machine to support Tax assessor collector work with Milam County ISDs 8 000 for an annual financial audit and 10 000 for a jail fence and auxiliary gear The plan follows a 1978 county budget approval and is to be sent to Washington for approval
