In a joint meeting the Killeen and Cameron boards agreed to relocate the Killeen Yoe High football game to Killeen Field. Supt Loughmiller said Cameron shifted its policy on integrated squads for away games this season. The move avoided playing on Yoe High Field and faced community opposition. potential forfeiture near 400 dollars loomed if the game were not played.

Services Held For E. L. Taylor Retired Banker
Services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church for E. L. Taylor who died Tuesday morning in a Cameron hospital. The Rev. Richard J. Bradshaw officiated. Interment followed at Oak Hill Cemetery. Taylor lived in Cameron since 1934 and built a banking career from Sanger Joseph Company in Cameron to roles at Tarver Hensley Company in Rosebud, Planters National Bank in Rosebud, and finally as a director at First National Bank of Rosebud before retiring in 1990 and moving to Dallas. He married Florine Sampson Mayfield in 1944 and later returned to Cameron. He is survived by his wife and step-son Maurice G. Mayfield Austin and three grandchildren Kedith Mayfield, Lee Mayfield, and Kedith Mayfield.
